USS Spruance (DD-963) is the lead ship of the Spruance-class destroyers in the United States Navy. She was named for Admiral Raymond A. Spruance.
Spruance was built by the Ingalls Shipbuilding Division of Litton Industries at Pascagoula, Mississippi, and launched by Mrs. Raymond A. Spruance, Commander Raymond J. Harbrecht in command. As of 2005, Spruance is an active unit of the Atlantic Fleet, assigned to Destroyer Squadron 24 and operating out of NS Mayport, Florida.
