Unibrow is a term used for the presence of hair between the eyebrows. This gives the person bearing the unibrow the illusion of having one eyebrow. The unibrow is sometimes referred to as a monobrow, from the same root, "one brow."

The unibrow is a often derided as being a throwback to primitive state or as showing a lack of self-grooming. Hence, especially among women, the region between the brows is often plucked or treated with electrolysis or other forms of depilation.

Certain supporters believe that the unibrow is more common among certain ethnicities than others, particularly people from the Mediterranean countries of Turkey and Greece. It is likely that the apparent prevelance of the unibrow among these groups when compared to the rest of Europe is exaggerated by the fact that this trait is not seen as undesirable, or at least not as much so, and is thus less often treated. Others believe that the unibrow, whether real or apparent, is just a natural trait of human variation.
