Union Hill-Novelty Hill is a census-designated place located in King County, Washington. As of the 2000 census, the CDP had a total population of 11,265. The total area is 0.25% water. DemographicsAs of the census2 of 2000, there are 11,265 people, 3,584 households, and 3,103 families residing in the CDP. The population density is 178.7/km² (462.9/mi²). There are 3,677 housing units at an average density of 58.3/km² (151.1/mi²). The racial makeup of the CDP is 90.77% White, 0.78% African American, 0.39% Native American, 4.25% Asian, 0.06% Pacific Islander, 1.30% from other races, and 2.45% from two or more races. 3.45% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 3,584 households out of which 53.4% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 78.7% are married couples living together, 4.9% have a female householder with no husband present, and 13.4% are non-families. 9.0% of all households are made up of individuals and 2.0% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 3.14 and the average family size is 3.37. In the CDP the population is spread out with 33.3% under the age of 18, 5.1% from 18 to 24, 31.2% from 25 to 44, 26.0% from 45 to 64, and 4.3% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 36 years. For every 100 females there are 106.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 102.5 males. The median income for a household in the CDP is $98,061, and the median income for a family is $105,758. Males have a median income of $77,954 versus $46,167 for females. The per capita income for the CDP is $46,538. 2.9% of the population and 2.3% of families are below the poverty line.
