United Nations Day - Definition

The 24 October is celebrated internationally as United Nations Day. It commemorates the coming into being of the United Nations Organisation on that day in 1945 when the UN Charter was ratified by all permanent members of the security council and more than half of the signatories.

It is an official flag day in Sweden.
