United Progressive Alliance - Definition and Overview

United Progressive Alliance (UPA) is the present ruling coalition of political parties in India.

• Indian Union Muslim League (IUML)
• Jammu & Kashmir Peoples Democratic Party (JKPDP)

This alliance is externally supported (supporters are not part of the government) by the Left Front consisting of Communist Party of India (Marxist), Communist Party of India, Revolutionary Socialist Party and All India Forward Bloc.
