Universal Records is started when Universal Music is created following the purchase of MCA Records by Seagram in 1996. The label is home of the Uptown Records, Flyte Tyme Records, Kedar Records, Celtic Heartbeat Records, Mojo Records, Island Blue Records and AM:PM Records subsidiarys.

The label consists of artists like: Aqua, Erykah Badu, Billie Myers, The Charlatans, Boyz II Men, Heavy D and the boyz, Soul for R.
