UMB is the center for medical education in Maryland. It comprises six professional schools:

  • Dental (founded 1840)
  • Law (founded 1823)
  • Medicine (founded 1807)
  • Nursing (founded 1889)
  • Pharmacy (founded 1841)
  • Social Work (founded 1961)

and a Graduate School (founded 1918).

UMB offers 43 degree programs. UMB also houses Davidge Hall, built in 1812 it's the oldest building in the Northern Hemisphere in continuous use for medical education.
