The University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, an umbrella designation used to refer to one of eight New Jersey state institutions of higher education in medicine. It is also used to designate the state-run University hospital or smaller administrative subunits. The majority of principal buildings of the institution are located in Newark, New Jersey.
