The University of Toledo is one of the nation's Research I accredited schools. With a large number of majors, Toledo is the school of choice for many students wanting an affordable and quality public education. The University is nationally known for its pharmacy, engineering, and law programs, and all of its programs in the college of Arts and Science achieve a level of national success.

Many of Toledo's sports teams vie each year for the Mid-American Conference championship, and the football team has been ranked nationally many different years. The University's mascot is a rocket and colors are blue and gold. Students also have many choices for extra curricular activities in the forms of fraternities and sororities, and many student run clubs and societies.

Situated in a suburban setting, the campus has been named one of the most beautifully landscaped in the nation. Architecturally, the majority of buildings on campus draw from cues in the collegiate gothic style. Due to its proximity to the city of Toledo, the campus allows students to pursue many areas in art, theater, music, and be able to go out and enjoy an active nightlife.
