Utah Grizzlies - Definition

The Utah Grizzlies are the American Hockey League affiliate of the Phoenix Coyotes, based in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The team started in the International Hockey League in 1994-1995 as the Denver Grizzlies, winning the Turner Cup that year. The team, which moved to Utah following their only season in Denver, was admitted to the AHL when the IHL folded in 2001.
