Utica College is located in Utica, New York. It was created in 1946 as Utica College of Syracuse University. In 1995, it became an independent institution, and had to drop the "of Syracuse University" from its name in 2002, but through a special arrangement, it still offers Syracuse University degrees to its graduates. It is officially mentioned in SU's charter and has two members on its University Senate. The college offers undergraduate programs in 31 major and 22 minor areas, as well as five graduate programs. Utica has about 2,100 students currently registered full or part time.
