Vardis Vardis

Vardis - Definition and Overview

Vardis were a British Heavy metal New Wave band between 1978 and 1986. They were from Wakefield in England. Vardis' first album 100mph, which was recorded live, included the tracks "100 MPH", "If I Were King", and "Let's Go" .

Vardis' second album The Worlds Insane featured a fiery rockout version of Hawkwind's "Silver Machine" and a pure blues title track with a lashing solo.

The third album Quo Vardis offered barnburners like "Together Tonight" and "Boogie Blitz" with frontman Steve Zodiac's truly volcanic guitar leads inspiring later metal giants.
