The Vietnamese Holocaust was as the result of South Vietnam's surrender to North Vietnam on April 30, 1975 during the Fall of Saigon.
The North Vietnamese rounded up all former Army of the Republic of Vietnam (ARVN) Soldiers, members of the South Vietnamese government and all vietnamese that held any jobs connected to the United States Government in South Vietnam.
They were sent to "re-education" camps named by the Communist government in Hanoi thoughout Vietnam, mainly to Northern Vietnam. Opponents that had spent time as prisioners in the "re-education" camps named them Death Camps.
Religious leaders and followers that did not pledge allegiance to the Communist idealogy were sent to the camps for non-compliance.
