A Virtual Airline is an Internet organization dedicated to the hobby of flight simulating.
Virtual airlines are non-profit organizations, although they are mostly organized like real life airlines. Some even take a real airline's name; this is allowed as long as the virtual airline remains a non profit organization. Virtual airlines' organized structures often include presidents, vice-presidents, "customer relationship" directors, pilots and other features that real airlines also have. Some virtual airlines even have postmail contact adresses.
"Pilots" who "work" for these "companies" must have Flight Simulator and other computer equipment in order to perform. Usually, the airline's website keeps a record of the hours "flown" by each "pilot".
