Visoko is a small but famous and noteworthy city in central Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is located in the Zenica-Doboj Canton of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina entity. The Bosna river flows through the city. It is famous for it's leather industry and the city is home to the KTK Leather Company, which is the largest in the country.
In the Middle Ages, Visoko was the social, economic and political capital of Bosnia, earning it the title of a royal town. The city is first mentioned in 1355 in a chart made for Dubrovnik merchants by Tvrtko I.
