Visp (French: Viège) is a municipality in the Canton of Valais in Switzerland. It it the seat of the district of Visp. Its population is around 7,000. The two valleys are Mattertal and Saastal. It is bordered with Brig-Gils, one of the densest. The majority of the population speaks German.
