Vukovar-Srijem county - Vukovarsko-srijemska županija is the easternmost Croatian county which includes southeastern parts of Slavonia, western parts of Srijem, and the lower Sava river basin (Posavina).
Its center is Vukovar; other cities are Vinkovci, Županja, Ilok.

County Prefect (upan)
County Prefect (upan) is chief executive officer in county responsability affairs and upan represents the County. County Prefect (upan)presides over County Government (upanijsko poglavarstvo) as county head administration. County Prefect (upan) is elected by the County Assembly.
Current County Prefect (upan) is Nikola afer.

County Assembly is composed of 41 representatives elected every 4 years on local elections (proportional electoral system).
