WaHI stands for "Washington Heights and Inwood." It is an uncommonly used name employed by real estate agents to make gritty Upper Manhattan seem more appealing than it actually is, very much in the same way that SoHo and TriBeCa were coined in the 1970s to make the Lower West Side of New York seem more desirable.
