Wakefield Kirkgate Railway Station - Definition and Overview

Wakefield Kirkgate Railway Station is a Railway station in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, England. It is older than the nearby Westgate station which serves a lot more destinations, especially places further afield. It is on the Hallam, Pontefract and Huddersfield lines. All service through this station are now (2005) run by Northern Rail, having been split between Arriva Trains Northern and First North Western since Privatisation.
