Bold textWaking Induction of Lucid Dreaming
Waking Induction of Lucid Dreaming is one of the most commmon induction techniques used by lucid dreamers. In this particular technique, a person goes directly from being awake into a lucid dream. The key to this technique is recognizing the hypnagogic stage. This stage is within the border of being awake and being asleep. If a person is successful in staying aware while this stage occurs, flashes and dots will transform into images, and a person will find themselves in their own dream. These are three simple steps that should help you learn how to use this technique.
1. Relax...
There are many different relaxation techniques that will help your body feel relaxed, and enter the hypnagogic stage. One of the most common is to breathe in while tensing your muscles, and then breathe out. You should start at your feet, and tense your muscles each time until you reach your head.
2. Stay Aware...
In order to use this technique, you need to stay aware, without drifting off. A common way to stay aware is to count. Another thing is to pay attention to each breath.
3. Go into your dream...
If you are able to stay aware, you will see the flashes and dots transform into images, during the hypnagogic stage. Then you will have a certain feeling that you can now dream. Once you are here, immserse yourself into your dream.
Keep practicing this technique. With a lot of practice you will soon be able to lucid dream.
