The Walsh Code is used to uniquely define individual communication channels.
Walsh codes are orthogonal mathematical codes. As such, if two Walsh codes
are correlated, the result is intelligible only if these two codes are the same. As a
result, a Walsh-encoded signal appears as random noise to a PCS CDMA
capable mobile terminal, unless that terminal uses the same code as the one
used to encode the incoming signal.
Mathematics is often defined as the study of patterns of structure, change, and space; more informally, one might say it is the study of "figures and numbers". In the formalist view, it is the investigation of axiomatically defined abstract structures using logic and mathematical notation; other views are described in the philosophy of mathematics article. Because of its applicability in a wide variety of scientific disciplines, mathematics has been called "the language of the universe".

Telecommunication is the extension of communication over a distance. In practice it also recognizes that something may be lost in the process; hence the term 'telecommunication' covers all forms of distance and/or conversion of the original communications, including radio, telegraphy, television, telephony, data communication and computer networking.
