• A U.S. film, The War of the Roses, starring Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner.
• Rugby League matches between Lancashire and Yorkshire, now known as the Origin Series.
• The annual Roses Tournament, a sports competition between Lancaster University and the University of York.
• The PlayStation 2 video game Yu-Gi-Oh! The Duelists of the Roses, which is loosely based on the history of the original Wars.
