Washington and Lee Mock Convention - Definition and Overview

Washington and Lee Mock Convention is a simulation of a Presidential nominating convention held once every four years, during the early stages of the U.S. Presidential Primary at Washington and Lee University. The organizers of the convention attempt to convery an accurate feel of the convention, and hence, recruit students to represents all states, districts, and territories in the United States that receive primary votes. The convention has brought many prominent political figures to Washington and Lee University such as Bill Clinton, Bob Dole, Al Sharpton, and James Carville.

Since its inception in 1908, the student body has been correct 18 out of 23 times.
