The Washoe language is a Native American language spoken by the Washoe. While there are very few speakers of Washo today, there is a Washo immersion school, which if successful will greatly increase the number of proficient speakers.

Washo is unique when compared to the Native American languages that border it, and is not related to any of them. While Washo is commonly placed in the Hokan stock of languages, there is little evidence for this grouping and many consider Washo a language isolate.
