Waterfall Station is the last stop of the Suburban 'Blue Line' and provides fast and reasonable reliable transport to the CBD.

Waterfall became infamous following a rail accident that claimed the lives of the driver and six passengers on 31 January 2003. The accident was believed to have been occurred when the driver, Herman Zeides, suffered a sudden heart attack and slumped forward onto the deadman's brakepedal, preventing an automatic emergency shutdown of the train.
A report into the accident, headed by Commissioner Peter McInerney, was released in January 2004.
