|
|
Wensleydale Railway plc took over running passenger trains on a length of the railway that previously linked Northallerton with Hawes in 2003: the railway had been almost closed apart from very occasional freight trains to Catterick. The line was a branch of the old North Eastern Railway opened in the 1850s.
