West London Line - Definition and Overview

The West London Line is a short overground railway linking Clapham Junction in the south to Willesden Junction in the north. Trains run only ever half hour and are operated by Silverlink.

Additional passenger trains are run hourly along much of this route by Southern having started from Brighton or Gatwick Airport before skipping Willesden Junction to head up to Watford Junction. The line also carries considerable freight.

• Shepherd's Bush (proposed new station to interchange with Central Line and proposed West London Tram from September 2005)
• Kensington (Olympia) (interchange with District Line)

• Imperial Wharf (proposed new station from September 2005)
• Battersea High Street (closed)
• Clapham Junction (interchange with national rail network and proposed western extension to the East London Line)
