Westchester Community College - Definition and Overview

Westchester Community College is a public, two-year college sponsored by Westchester County, New York and SUNY. The main campus is in Valhalla, New York, but the college provides instruction at eleven other locations.

The college was founded in 1946 as the New York State Institute of Applied Arts and Sciences in White Plains.

The college offers the Associate Degree in forty areas and Certificates in twenty.
