Westfield Center is a village located in Medina County, Ohio. As of the 2000 census, the village had a total population of 1,054.

Geography

Westfield Center is located at 41°1'47" North, 81°55'53" West (41.029639, -81.931467)¹.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 5.5 km² (2.1 mi²). 5.5 km² (2.1 mi²) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water.

Demographics

As of the census² of 2000, there are 1,054 people, 401 households, and 336 families residing in the village. The population density is 192.9/km² (498.8/mi²). There are 431 housing units at an average density of 78.9/km² (204.0/mi²). The racial makeup of the village is 99.05% White, 0.00% African American, 0.09% Native American, 0.28% Asian, 0.19% Pacific Islander, 0.09% from other races, and 0.28% from two or more races. 0.57% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 401 households out of which 31.9% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 76.1% are married couples living together, 5.5% have a female householder with no husband present, and 16.0% are non-families. 13.5% of all households are made up of individuals and 4.5% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.63 and the average family size is 2.88.

In the village the population is spread out with 24.3% under the age of 18, 5.3% from 18 to 24, 23.1% from 25 to 44, 33.5% from 45 to 64, and 13.8% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 42 years. For every 100 females there are 99.6 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 98.0 males.

The median income for a household in the village is $69,821, and the median income for a family is $76,651. Males have a median income of $55,893 versus $30,083 for females.
