William Goldsmith is a rock drummer, best known for his stint as drummer of the Foo Fighters following the breakup of his former band Sunny Day Real Estate.
He left the Foo Fighters during the recording of The Colour and the Shape, upset that frontman Dave Grohl had re-recorded his drum parts for the album. He went on to record two more albums with a reunited Sunny Day Real Estate, before that band broke up a second time.
Goldsmith is now a member of The Fire Theft.
