There are at least four notable people named William Sutherland:

• A prominent technology research manager in the United States, better known as Bert Sutherland;
• Sir William Sutherland (1880-1949), a British politician, Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster in 1922;
• The founder of the Canadian Free Press, later London Free Press, Ontario, Canada; and
• A Doctor of Osteopathy and the first to research Cranial Osteopathy.
