Williamsbridge is a section of the north-central Bronx in New York City. It centers around Gun Hill Road and is bounded by 233rd Street to the north, Laconia Avenue to the east, Allerton Avenue to the south, and the Bronx River to the west. It borders the neighborhoods of Wakefield, Baychester, and Pelham Parkway.
The neighborhood name derives from Williams' Bridge, farmer John Williams' colonial toll bridge over the Bronx River.
