Wood Lane tube station is a disused station on the Central Line of the London Underground. It was built for the Franco-British Exhibition of 1908 on a loop from Shepherd's Bush with a covered walkway to the Exhibition Halls. The station was closed in 1947 when White City tube station was opened a few hundred metres north. The front of the station remained until September 2004 when it was demolished to make way for the new White City shopping centre. External links
