World66 is a Dutch company which embraced the open content idea and is currently trying to transform it into a profitable business. On 29 November 2003, it expanded by absorbing the travel-related CapitanCook wiki.
World66 publishes more than 50,000 travel related articles about 10,000 destinations around the world and all of them are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 1.0 Licence.
World66 runs a wiki-like software which allows everyone to add or edit contents.
