World Wide Wrestling Federation was one of the previous names used by Vincent J. McMahon for his wrestling federation.
He gave the name to his company in 1963 when his company left the National Wrestling Alliance. In 1979 Vince McMahon changed the name to World Wrestling Federation (Eventually it changed to World Wrestling Entertainment in early 2002 because World Wildlife Fund had the name first).
The name WWWF was around for 17 years.
