The Wuchih Mountain Military Cemetery (Chinese: 五指山公墓將軍墓園) is the Republic of China's most prominent military cemetery. The cemetery is located on Wuchih Mountain (五指山) in Sijhih, Taipei County and borders Taipei City's Neihu District and Yangmingshan National Park. General Chiang Wei-kuo, the adopted son of Chiang Kai-shek, conceived and designed the cemetery. He was also buried there.
Other people buried there include the former ROC President Yen Chia-kan and up to thirteen military officers of general and admiral rank. The cemetery, which has 9,417 grave plots, is nearly full; further deceased military officials will need to be cremated and stored in part of the cemetery that houses the ashes of the deceased.
Late ROC Presidents Chiang Kai-shek and Chiang Ching-kuo are planned to be buried there in late 2005. Their memorials are under construction.
