Wyatt Emory Cooper (born September 1, 1927 in Quitman, Mississippi) was an author and screenwriter. He married Gloria Vanderbilt in 1964 and they had two sons, Carter Vanderbilt Cooper (1965-1988) and Anderson Cooper. He died of a heart attack at age 50.
