Y (pronounced like the name of letter E in English) is a French commune of the Somme département, in the Picardie région (postal code 80190). It bears the shortest place name in France, and one of the shortest in the world.
The population is approximately one hundred; inhabitants call themselves Ypsilonien(ne)s.
