With a lull following the much-unnoticed creation and disappearance of the original Sixdegrees.com, the world wide web has been hit with a blizzard of social networking web sites, with Friendster rekindling the craze, and sites such as Orkut and Thefacebook following. The term YASNS, or Yet Another Social Networking Service, has been coined to refer to them collectively, in the long standing tradition of the phrase Yet Another.
