The yardlong bean (Vigna unguiculata ssp. sesquipedalis, Fabaceae) is an annual vine, a variety of the cowpea, grown primarily for its strikingly long (35 - 75 cm) immature pods, used as a vegetable.

Other names include long-podded cowpea, asparagus bean and Chinese long bean.

The plant is most widely grown in warmer parts of Asia.
