Yukio Oikawa is a character in the anime series Digimon Adventure Zero-Two considered by many to be the most tragic character in the series. He was one of the few human adults to have a knowledge of the Digital World, wanting above all else to go there. In fact, he investiagated the Hikarigota incident. He also was one who created Arukenimon & Mummymon to aid him in his plan by having Ken Ichijouji set everything up for them. But it was learned he was a old friend of Hiroki Hida, Iori Hida's father.
After the death of Hiroki, he went to his tomb stone on the night of August 3rd, 1999. It was there he became possessed & deceived by the evil spirit of Myotismon and helped unknowingly & unwillingly facilitate the villian's revival. As well as have Ken Ichijouji set everything in place. He was drained of most of his life when Myotismon separated from him, memorably using the power of the 'other world' to bind what remained of his lifeforce to the very world he loved, restoring it to the way it was.
