Yuri is a subset of many Japanese genres, that are concerned only with female-female lesbian relationships. The most common usage in the western world of the word 'Yuri' is when relating it to anime, specifically, 'hentai' or pornography depicting animated characters. One example of a Yuri which (when translated into English, and edited) is not pornographic is Sailor Moon near the later parts of the series.
