A fictional character from the Star Wars universe. Seen in the 2003 videogame Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Yuthura Ban is the apprentice to Uthar Wynn, the head of the Sith academy on Korriban. In the game, the player has to talk to Yuthura to get into the Sith academy.
Biography
Yuthura Ban- Uthar's apprentice and second in command at the Korriban Sith academy. (Purple Twi'lek with many tattoo's. Some Sith, some from her slavery past)
Originally from Sleheyron, Ban was a slave to a Hutt called Omeesh. He was a cruel Master and tortured slaves regularly. This is where she redcieved the slavery tattoo's adorning her body. One night, she slit Omeesh's throat when he had her alone in his bedchamber. She escaped on a freighter and was abandoned on a desolate asteroidal planetoid when discovered.
The force was strong with her, however, and she was soon discovered by a passing Jedi. The Jedi decided to train her and admitted her to the academy, despite her being older than most Jedi Padawan's.
Her abilites were excellent, as was her potential, but she lacked peace due to her past. She had sworn revenge on all slavers and found the Jedi lack of action intolerable.
She left to pursue the Sith way, in order to assist the slaves, upon Lords Revan's creation of the Academy and became Uthars apprentice and second in command. However, the thirst for power, due to the DS corruption of her mind made her forget her original oath.
Game information!
Yuthura is met during the game in a Bar on Korriban called "the Drunk side". She offered the mind wiped Revan (his identity unknown to anyone apart from Bastila Shan, a few members of the Jedi Council and probably himself/herself) a chance to enter the Sith academy to train, unknowing that Revan was in fact acting for the Jedi council.
Upon entry, Revan asked about her past and despite some reluctance, Yuthura gave it to him. She was also essential to passing the test of "prestige" to gain the chance to be a Sith. This allowed Revan to enter the tomb of Naga Sadow, where an ancient Rakatan "Starmap" was hidden.
Also, she offered Revan a chance to betray Uthar with her assistance so that she could become Master at the academy and Revan would sit on her right hand as second in command as she once did.

Revan informed Uthar about Yuthura's plans to betray him. Uthar told Revan to hand over a datapad to a person who would poison Yuthura's shower, giving way for ease to kill Yuthura in the "final trial." Revan did so, and told Yuthura about Uthar's plans to fight her in the final trial. Yuthura tells Revan to poison Uthar's bed and provides him with the poison and access to his room. Revan does so.
Revan passed the prestige trials to enter the tomb with Yuthura's help. Upon finishing, Uthar informed Revan that he had to fight Yuthura to pass the final trial and show no mercy.
LS choice.
Revan disagreed and sided with Yuthura to kill Uthar. Once done, Yuthura fought Revan, desperate for power. However, Revan was too powerful and managed to injure her. She pleaded for mercy and Revan spared her life.
Revan then asked her to think about her past, about all she wanted to do to help slaves. This managed to redeem Yuthura, who returned to Dantooine for training. The Jedi welcomed her back with open arms and she saw her old master.
Game edit: you can just let her go, but this is the best LS option available. She can be found outside the Jedi enclave on Dantooine before the third Starmap and its consequences)
DS choices
1. Revan disagreed with Uthar and attacked and killed him with Yuthura's help. Yuthura then attacked Revan due to her lust for power. Once at Revan's mercy, Yuthura pleaded for mercy. Revan spared her and offered her the academy. She took it willingly while Revan continued with the Starmap quest.
2. Revan chose to help neither Uthar nor Yuthura, and claimed he was the only "true sith" of the three. He killed them both with ease (they may or may not have been poisoned.)
Other options.
There are many others. Yuthura can be killed, betrayed, spared... just let go etc. the above are the three most popular options.
