Zilog's 32 bit processor from 1994. The Z380 is indeed Z80 compatible, but the newer and quicker eZ80 family has been more successful recently, as far as I understand. The eZ80 is (like Z380) binary compatible with Z80 and Z180, but almost four times as fast as the old Z80 chip (at the same core frequency). Availiable at up to 50MHz (2005), that means speed like a Z80 clocked at 200 MHz if fast memory is used (i.e. no wait states). The eZ80 also supports direkt addressing of 24 MB of memory, by extending most registers (HL,BC,DE,IX,IY,PC,SP) from 16 to 24 bits.
