 Dream Interpretations  Dreams about: psyche

Sex

Interpretation: Sex is the most powerful instinct in the human psyche. In dreams, it tends to satisfy a natural desire when sex is absent in waking life. With someone you like platonically: It is an affirmation of a close relationship. With someone you do not like: It is time to moderate those negative feelings about them. With the same sex: It may be yourself trying to deal with your male/ female counterpart or the part of you that you do not like.

house

Interpretation: You, your psyche, intellect, mind, spirituality. How you perceive yourself in light of the things that go on here.

closet

Interpretation: Confined in: Feeling limitation regarding one's psyche. Hiding in one: Trying to avoid facing up to one's inadequacies regarding the self.

Find

Interpretation: To dream that you find something, suggests that you are coming into contact with some aspect of your psyche or unconscious. You are recognizing a part of yourself that was previously repressed or undeveloped. To dream that you find a person, indicates that you are identifying new facets of a relationship. You may be taking a relationship to a new level or direction.

Dolphin

Interpretation: Dolphins represent friendliness, communal living, rescue, communication, and affection. They are water dwelling mammals and in our dreams they represent our willingness and ability to navigate through emotions. They represent positive messages from our unconscious minds. Dolphins could also represent a positive connection between our consciousness and to those parts of the psyche that is a mystery and largely unconscious.

Faces (face)

Interpretation: It is very common to dream about all kinds of faces. Strange faces and familiar faces alike are frequent images in our dreams. Interpret your dream by considering the face and the general content of the dream. A stranger's face could represent different parts of your personality or psyche. You think that you are seeing a stranger but in actuality you are seeing a different part of yourself. Jung said that the stranger is a part of you that comes from the unconscious. A comic face may indicate that you have a conscious or unconscious need to mock or snub the conventional. Featureless faces suggest that you may feel unnoticed and unappreciated. On the other hand, some believe that the blank or unclear face represents a teacher. That is someone who is there to show and teach you a lesson but you are unprepared for it and the face is blank. Smiling faces are representative of happy thoughts and feelings and possibly anticipation of a joyful event in the near future. Always remember the compensatory nature of dreams and their ability to point to the opposite of what you experience in daily life.

Forest / Woods

Interpretation: They may represent your unconscious or your "mental space." If you are lost in the woods, it may be a reflection of feelings of confusion and lack of clear direction. The dark and threatening woods may represent the dark and unexplored areas of the psyche.

Intruder (burgler)

Interpretation: Seeing an intruder breaking into your house or hurting you or someone else can be a very frightening dream. Depending on the level of fear this dream is, at times, a nightmare. The intruder breaking the law or breaking into your house may be representation of an unconscious part of your psyche. The intruder may be a symbol of your guilt and self-indulgent attitudes or behaviors. On the other hand, it may represent the more negative side of your nature. If you had a fearful real-life experience with an intruder through this dream you may be reliving that experience and hopefully letting go of the fear.

War (battle)

Interpretation: Dreaming about a war or a battle suggests that the dreamer has internal conflict. One part of personality or psyche may be battling with another for control and the dream reflects this internal war. Another reason for dreaming about war is that you may be faced with a situation that requires you to be aggressive or assertive and to come to terms with opposition. War veterans and others who have experienced war first hand may, from time to time, have such dreams based on memory and trauma.

Umbrella (umbrellas)

Interpretation: In dreams umbrellas usually symbolize the device that the conscious mind uses to protect itself from the unconscious. Umbrellas might symbolize our unwillingness to deal with negative emotions, psychological baggage, or trauma. If the umbrella is opened, you may be protecting yourself from unconscious materials. If the umbrella is closed, then you may be prepared and be willing to deal with the unfamiliar psyche. Old dream interpretations say that the umbrella is the symbol of security. If the umbrella is broken or turned inside out, your ultimate achievement is possible but delayed.

Volcano (erupt)

Interpretation: Volcanic eruptions in dreams usually represent our erupting emotions. Feelings that you may be harboring during the day might take the form of a volcanic eruption in a dream state. The unconscious psyche might be releasing positive or negative feelings in a safety of a dream. (E.g. Strong sexual feelings, passion, anger, rage, and fear.) Superstition-based dream interpretations say that poring lava is a warning about poor health.
